aims
This site has been created and is powered by Desafio das Letras, a social enterprise which provides services on support to projects willing to change practices and leverage positive impacts on environmental problems (including on water, soils, noise, chemical contamination, …), on conservation or restoration of our nature and biodiversity and providing solutions for climatic adaptation and mitigation.
Our aim with this site is to build direct bridges between those in need of resources to deliver environmental action and impact with those that can provide such resources. To ensure this, the site allows for those in need to register their impact ideas and intervention sites, as well as their resource needs, making them available for public consultation and enabling those looking to provide help to establish direct contacts. With such aims and functionalities, we expect to deliver a reliable and positive tool for additional impact to be leveraged across Europe and at a global scale.
support how it works
On its current version, the site allows both individuals and organizations to register – under the “Impact Community” pages.
Once registered, any user can provide contents on project ideas and concrete intervention sites for which resources are being looked after. This is done through the “Impact Sites” pages and requires a classification of the idea according to a set of issues and the upload of photographs, a map of the intervention site and, when available, an Action Plan with further details. Once uploaded, any new site may be explored publicly through the “Impact Sites” pages. Furthermore, in order to update contents being provided, the site will allow those registering ideas to edit their ideas/sites along time with additional data.
explore sites
If you are looking to support environmental impact action and are still unaware of what to fund or help, this is the right place to explore.
Simply go to the “Impact Sites” pages and explore the ideas and concrete interventions being proposed and what kind of support they are looking for. This may be done interactively on the map or through simple and advanced searches, in coherence with the information provided by users along idea and site registry (e.g. the type of environmental media being impacted or species being benefitted). Once an idea/site is found, the platform allows to establish a direct contact, by email, with the team in charge of the idea/site, so that additional information can be directly exchanged among the interested parties.
